Photograph of a the species tree peony, Paeonia Rockii, named after the explorer and botanist Joseph Rock who collected seeds from plants growing in the courtyard of the Choni Monastery in Tibet and distributed them to the West. This plant was grown from a division originally propogated at the Arnold Arboreteum.
